Dr. Erin Norris completed her MD at Western University and her General Internal Medicine and Rheumatology training at the University of Toronto. She joined the Temerty Faculty of Medicine as a Rheumatologist at St. Michael’s Hospital in 2009 after completing the Master Teacher Program with the Department of Medicine.
Erin’s clinical interests include post-fracture osteoporosis care and metabolic bone disease in chronic inflammatory conditions. Much of her academic work focuses on inclusion of physicians with disability and the development of peer support and knowledge exchange communities, and is informed by the principles of narrative-based medicine. She holds a graduate certificate in Creative Writing, Non-Fiction, as well as a certificate in Narrative-Based Medicine from the University of Toronto.
Erin is a Clinician-Teacher and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The best parts of her job involve teaching, working collaboratively on academic projects, and mentoring students and young physicians.
